The Northborough High School Association was organized on December 1, 1870. According to the organization’s by-laws, "the object of this association shall be to perpetuate the memories of school days, and to reunite at least once in each year all past and present scholars of the Northboro High School at a social and literary meeting." Except during some war years, the Association has “reunited” at least once in each year.
The 1870 by-laws indicate that originally the reunions were held on the eve of Thanksgiving Day. The day was subsequently changed to “during the summer at a time and place to be designated…”
In recent years the reunion has been held on a Saturday in October, which has worked well. The reunion is open to anyone who ever attended Northborough High School, Peters High School, Algonquin Regional or Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School.
